Motor has 75,000 on it and has a pretty loud knock a mechanic that came and looked at said a wrist pin or rocker but later on he thinks it wasnt the rocker.

Car holds a solid idle and was running perfect before this happened. If it is something to do with the piston i guess i will go with a new shortblock from slowboy or something.

Anyways here is the vid let me know what you think...

Your engine is a gonner man. Time for a 6 bolt swap. If you have any questions, ask me and I may be able to help. Just be ready to drop about 3,000 atleast to do one right.

Yeah you spun a bearing that motor is toast. You can't even build it after that unless you line bore it etc etc, then you stuck with a rebuilt 7 bolt thats gonna crank walk.

Get a 6 bolt bottom end and put your 7 bolt head on it. It's the easiest way to swap it in. Descent running 6 bolt block are fairly easy to find.

You can re-re the motor in your driveway with a cherry picker. Honestly it's not that big a deal to put a new motor in your car and you can do it. It's a crap load of work yes, but it can be done fiarly cheaply and you'll be glad you did it yourself because you will then know exactly how everything works.

I didnt get a video either, or it just didnt work for me. When you pull your engine, have somebody help you, it makes things much MUCH easier, even if its just a girl or something. I'd start early in the day, because it can take quite a while. :|

A few weeks ago a guy I know with a sr20det swap in his s13 thought he had a spun rod bearing. It was knocking pretty bad and the knock increased with rpms, it had low oil pressure, all the usual symptoms. He pulled the engine and started taking it apart. When he pulled the pan he found the problem. The oil pickup had come loose. Wouldnt that suck to pull your engine and tear it all down and find the pickup came loose. I would be pretty pissed.

sounds like a spun bearing, but before i took it all apart, i would take a long screwdriver or piece of round metal and touch it in various places and listen for tje knock. put it on the block and check, put it on the head, the turbo, etc. you will be able to locate the knock, sounds stupid but it acts just like a stethoscope.
