The Laser had been sitting for a while just waiting to be finished. We recently just got everything needed for under the hood but it still wouldn't start. We got a new battery, checked the timing and the starter, etc.... and got nowhere. We took the head off again and behold! damage to the pistons and valves 
Luckily we have another engine that was suppoed to go into a '90 Talon. So we'll be switching that in and hopefully I'll be able to get pics of our running baby up soon!
