Engine Install Help Please

Hi all. Need your help.

Here is my situation. I got a freshly re-built motor with everything on it including alt, belts, and such. Tranny is still in the car. Is there ANY way to get the motor back into it without completely removing the tranny????

Can I unbolt the tranny and move it a bit and squeeze the motor in? Any and all detailed advice is appreciated.

If someone can point me to a write up it would be much appreciated.

it would be easier to just take the drive shaft off the transfer case and take out the tranny and transfer case together
your jst gonna frustrate your self trying to do it that way

t-case is out... tranny is still in.... can I un-bolt the tranny and shift it a bit to get the extra space?

Anyone do that before???

yea your ###### going to have take the tranny out. Thats what i had to do and i done mine last week. Good Luck

I agree, it would be easier to just pull the tranny out too. This is what I would do also. Plus I find it harder to get the bolts on the bottom of the tranny with it in the car. But it is possible for you to be able to still do it the other way.

u can if you want but when i would jst take it out so you can mate the engine and the tranny nice and careful

Yeah... I'm removing it as we speak...
