Where can I find engine dress up kits? I've been looking through the venders and can't find anything. I'm looking for hoses and polished parts.

Thanks everyone.

um...im sure u can find some at pep boys, autozone, or Jcwhitney... but like the other dude said WHY?

what's wrong with a little engine dress up? if tastefully done, I think it looks awesome.

pepboys finally carried something I could use  i have no fear of flames :)

I have seen that pic used so many times from you defiant...Come on now, you post so much that your material is starting to repeat itself :p ;)

Check Roadraceengineering.com, also sorry that you couldnt get a serious answer. People think they are cool when they waste space saying "why?" It's your car, who cares if you want to give it a little personality! :thumb: :talon:

i'm not trying to flame him its just that to me an engine dress-up kit is like a body kity for your engine...i don't like it but thats just my thought sorry if i offended you or anyone else OMG

Thanks everyone for the info. And I don't mind being asked why, if it's a valid question. But I guess it is a waste of space. I'm really just looking to clean up my engine and probably change some hoses is all. Also my valve cover is very dirty, but I guess I can paint that. I'll look around for paint to use.

Oh, and one last thing....I'm not a "he", I'm a "She".

Ah! You've found the hidden "TRY A GODDAMNED SEARCH FOR JUST ONCE IN YOUR USELESS, SUCKING, LEECHING LIVES, WOULD YOU?" messsage! Good for you :thumb:

The Injen stuff looks nice. I am looking for a full Hayame kit. I may just have to buy the individual pieces.

whats that red sweat band thingy?

Its what it is a sweat band and lots of people use them as Reservior Covers, there a dress up piece and absorbs liquids if there is leakage.

As far as I know that idea came from motorcycles. On a sportbike your front brake resevoir is up on the handlebars, which means it is exposed to the sun if you park outside. The excuse to put a wristband on it is that it will shield the res from the sun so it doesn't ruin your brake fluid.

Either way it's a cosmetic thing.
