it seems i have gotten my old job back with Nasco so my plan for rebuilding the engine is starting to look more like a possiblility seeing as now i will have some money. the other night around 1am instead of sleeping for my early rise at 6:45 i started..............you guessed it...............or maybe you didn't depending on your perversion level
................thinking about the talon.
i started thinking cosmetically about what to do with the engine and bay while i have it out for the rebuild.
options:
paint or powdercoat the block, head, valve cover, and maybe tranny (black, silver, gun metal, etc.) or polish the valve cover and/or head
then i have to choose a color to paint or powdercoat the intercooler piping when i finally buy a fmic
then i could also polish things like the thermostat housing or turbo.
previously i had been thinking of doing a bluish theme with a few things such as vaccuum lines and all couplings.
right now i'm just kind of looking for opinions of what may look good or differant suggestions of color combos and such. I know colors such as neon green add up to 5hp but i want to stay away from riceyness (now i'm acting like my thermo teacher and making up words
).
also, should anything that gets painted or polished get some kind of clear coating or other protectant?
any other thoughs or opinions are welcome also.
thanks
