Engine dies during gear changes

Recently my headgasket was changed, now everytime i press the clutch when i shift the rpm drops and the engine dies. The car idles fine and the problem is happening only if i press the clutch arround 3k or higher and keep it depressed during shifts while driving. I own a 99 GSX and no im not venting the Bov, my boost gauge shows normal vaacum readings.

Please help...

Did you do a boost leak test? Check vacuum lines might have a leak somewhere and don't even know it. Simple boost leak test is brake cleaner or starter fluid and spraying it on lines. Check compress just for hell of it.

mine dies when i press clutch pedal, and well i think i have a combination of boost leaks and a bad isc...

It might be as simple as a bad ground, check from the battery to the frame and from the frame to the engine

We already sprayed brake cleaner all over possible vaccum leak points and i checked the grounding to. Damn my car wnever did that before the gasket job. I also noticed that my idle goes a little down when i press the clutch...

I would have to say, check all your sensor wire connections, and condition of those wires. Being almost a 10year old car, those wires coating will crack off.

Just to let you know, due to the busted headgasket at least 2 quarts of oil were pumped into my coolant systen. Finally i took the oil pan of and discovered my biggest fear a walking crank and knocking rods.

Right now my GSX is getting an evo 3 engine...

An evo 3 is a 7 bolt 4g63... you will be doing nothing but replacing a 7 bolt.... find a six bolt 4g63 and swap it...

You probably dont have your BOV recirculated. Reconnect it, that is most likely whats happening.
