strange clicking noise between gear changes ?!?!?

hey guys... well my friend just bought a 99' eclipse GS (oz package) and its automatic... i noticed a problem when she would go into either drive or reverse, but not when she goes out of the gears (drive or reverse) ... this noise is a rapid clicking noise that lasts about 2 seconds then cuts off... the car shifts fine while driving, i was stummped without any ideas as to what the noise is... maybe you guys can help... ? thanks a lot guys ...

If this is an automatic then change the fluid and filter. If it is a manual then you may have more problems than you want! let me Know how it works out!
