Ok, i just bought the car it has no ecu in it, no problem probably needed new one anyway. in the meantime i am doing a little maintnance and cleaning, hooked up battery and as soon as i did the engine started cranking over. Could this be because it has no ecu in the car? or a stuck solenoid? .

Stuck starter solenoid. Remove the solenoid from the started and see if the spring is broken. If not, clean the solenoid and piston, lube with lithium grease, and try it again. Mine had that problem after it sat for a long time. It was just the solenoid had gummed up from a previous oil leak.
