Mods, im not sure if i shouldve posted this topic in this thread, so if its not suppose to be here, feel free to move it...im going to start my 95Gsx project soon, completely stock 92k miles..
Already got fp30r,hks272's,pte880's,dsmlink, and all other bolt ons..
Project: full wire tuck, battery in trunk, fuse box relocation, paint my engine bay and do a paint job on the car. Its red and i want something different since my gst is also red. Suspension, swapping my grey leather virgin interior for black leather. I got an all black dash and for the seats and all plastic trim, im going go paint myself..NOW, my only problem that I wanna figure out before I start my project is the paint job. I want to paint my engine bay different color then the exterior. Like our fellow member here, GAME_OVER.. I like how he did his.

The exterior colors on my mind so far are, black, white, and charcoal grey..I also been thinking bout keeping it red, but like I said I want to paint engine bay a different color..

So if any of you guys have a wire tuck with engine bay different color than the exterior, can you please post a picture up so I can get some ideas? Thanks, much appreciative.

imo id go with the charcoal grey, that way you wont show as much dirt and grime as white and black..

Grey's look clean on red. I have seen Gold on Red and it looked pretty hot. However a bit much for the average person

I paint all my bays black but so are the cars:)

It use to be the cool thing to do, now its beyond played out. I guess that's the problem with fads..

I did want to piss everyone off and make my engine bay candy purple.. Still might do it haha.

I've never had to pull my motor but once its out I was planning on shooting the engine bay a dark gunmetal, you should do it so I can if I like it. LOL

Saw this in a car mag I opened up a few months ago, I figured if a DSMer did this it would have the potential to piss off the community. Its unique but I'm sure I'd set a 10mm combo wrench down for 2 seconds and lose it because I couldn't find the damn thing while its sitting out in the open.

Yea those trends come and go for sure, but gotta do what you like, who care's what others think LOL

The kind of people who do that to their engine bays are exactly the type of people who care..

Now those checkers are a bit on the time consuming side!

I wish my wife would paint my engine bays by hand for me LOL

I have a GSX that used to be red...and then the previous owner painted it black. Looks kinda neat actually. Everything in the engine bay is either black or red...so the purple GReddy BOV looks absolutely hideous. A black HKS SSQV is currently waiting to take it's place!

I'll see if I can get some pics up on here.

yeah ill let you know gofer on how it looks.
im currently stuck on my build right now cus im going through some family/personal business.. but once i start back on it ill let all you people know:thumb:
