I recently finished installing my Energy kit on the suspention of my GS.Maybe because everything is new yet,but my suspention is noisy as shit!Is this normal for poly bushings.Or will it quiet down when its broken in.when drivin down the road, the car sounds like crap(like bangin a babe on a old bed)!!!What can I do?:hmm:

You put in poly bushings. They are a hell of a lot stiffer than the old ones. Really all I can think of is find shit that rattles and secure it better.

Yeah, it is because the new bushings are way more stiff than the stock ones. Tanro is 100% correct, you need to track down all the lose bolts and tighten them up. If I were to guess, I'd start in the hatch area and work forward from there! Good luck!

There are no loose bolts on this car!Every nut and bolt has been replaced or polished. And the grease that comes with them are for pressing the bushings into the original sleeves.

The grease that comes with them is to lubricate all surfaces of the bushing that touch metal. If you don't get enough grease where it's needed you'll have a bunch of creaking noises, and prematurely wear out the bushings.

Ps. Mine don't make any noise at all.

Metal on metal was not the problem.I us the best antiseaz lube that I was able to afford.the problem was that I tightened the nuts and bolts down too far against the poly of the bushings. So I went back and backed the nuts off slightly(with out air tools)and she sounds much better.Thanx for the input.I love hearing some of the suggestions some of you guys come up with!!

Loosening the bolts doesn't seem like the answer. Perhaps you should find some silicone paste and put it on all the surfaces where the urethane bushings touch metal. Then make sure your bolts are tightened to spec. Otherwise you'll oval out all your holes.

Well +1 to the grease. And I thought you meant that your interior was rattling since that is a very common problem. Especially the door panels. Some people use that spray on foam from home depot to coat the back side of the door panels so they don't rattle as much.

with using the air tools,I squeezed the metal flanges up against the poly bushings so I took every bushing back out (complete energy kit).I bent back the flanges to were they are supposed to be,and put everything back together using new locknuts(hard as hell to find) on every one.Using silicone paste so you dont damage your hole sounds a little personal to me!:sneaky:Always make sure that if your using air tools that you normally use to fix (Cat) heavy equiptment, turn down your air settings!!!
