Normal,
i have read many posts about this and just want to make it clear doing the taboo emissions removal is or is not going to throw a cel??

CELs come from sensors that are reading out-of-range, so if you leave them electrically connected you'll have _better_ luck. But I think some will still come up bad.

Why do you want to do this?

the main reason in want to do this is to clean up the engine bay. the whole egr blockoff im not to hot on but i just wanted to know if it was going to throw codes. What started all this is because i got a 144mph intake and i have to find something to do with the charcoal line. i did not want to just leave it laying in the engine so i though i might as well just take it out. plus we dont have emission tests where im from

welp the ECU is programed to alert you when there is a prob with your emitions. If there disconnected odds are you wil get a CEL eventualy. ( not that big of a deal ) most dsm's got a light on :) (including mine)
you can also cut or switch the wire that triggers that light @ the ecu.
