I've just removed all the emissions on the my 420a while I had the motor torn apart and having some starting issues. Kind of a stupid question, but I just want to make sure that the removal of the entire system (EGR, charcoal, all lines...) and sensors would not cause a starting issue. Besides blocking off the EGR ports, there should be nothing else I had to do, correct?

Also, I just have the line from the fuel tank dumped beneath car, not capped or anything.

Thanks

Sensors? what sensors did you remove? I'm not to familure with the sensors on the 420A but if I removed any of my "Emission" Sensors on my 1G I'm sure It wouldn't run at all, if it did then very poorly.

All vacuum lines are gone. The gas tank line is open. The line from the throttle body is welded shut. As for sensors, the EGR is gone, and I believe the charcoal had 1 or 2 that are gone. Harnesses are still there, but everything relating is pulled out.

I had the motor torn down and feels like it's running on 2 cylinders, so just eliminating all other possibilities. MegaSquirt is showing proper readings on everything else at the moment. Car ran fine *(more or less) before this last tear down

Temps been ~40*-60*

I'm pretty positive in this rebuild, and the only other change was the removal of emissions and some wire tucking. So just trying to eliminate some possibilities. Step-by-step
