emergency brake light coming on

Hi,
this morning when i turned on my car and drove to college the parking brake lights was on for a while, the brake lever was down all the way, i pulled it up and down and it was still lit.

After a while it turned off and got back to normal, but when i brake heavy the light briefly comes on.

Can anyone help?

Usually means youre running low on break fluid. Check it.
