Resolved Eliminating external oil cooler?

what would it hurt to just block off the external oil cooler lines? im puting my FMIC on and i know honda's dont have any sort of oil cooling with the coolant or what not and my buddies 1000hp + supra does not have an external oil cooler, in fact he was told to use a sandwich plate and bolt the filter directly to the block and remove the external cooler. would it be a big deal if i just blocked off the housing where the external lines come out?

youd be putting more of a heatload on the cooling system if you did that.i guess if you had an aluminum radiator youd be ok.pure drag cars do it all the time,but then again they dont run all the time.is there a fitment issue with your fmic and oil cooler?i just traded up to the 90 cooler off a guy that had to lose it b/c of his huge ass turbo.i just gave him my n/t filter housing.

I have a fairly large Front mount and I was able to keep mine. Kind of a waste of time if you ask me.

im not to gung ho about having to remove it but ill be getting my large core tomorrow so ill see if it will fit or not.

I just moved mine over behind the driver's side fog light when I bolted my 24x10 VPE core up.

ya..i got my sbr core in and i just unbolted the cooler and zip tied it behind the bracket and it fits fine.
