2G Electrical problem, lights get brighter with RPM

I'm having wierd electrical problems. Every time I press the gas my gauge lights and headlights get brighter the harder I press the gas. This is a weird one, everybody I talk to has no idea. The battery and alternator are new. Someone told me maybe my alternator is too weak for my battery.

IDK help would be appreciated

Buddy get the battery checked at AutoZone it can be sending a false signal it's ###### dying or you're alternator is screwed just check all fuses to make shure but I can guaranty it's you're battery dying because same thing happened to me

That sounds like a bad regulator to me. It should be holding the voltage stable and putting out a consistent voltage within the normal RPM range. Even if the alternator is "new", it could still have a defective regulator. The other thing would be to check all of the connections to make sure there are no corroded or broken wires

You think maybe I should get new battery cables? And is it bad if I keep driving like this my fans also get louder thr harder I press the gas

Oh I forgot to mention this happened after we gave my car a jump because I didn't start the car for like a week so coukd it be the battery was still weak and trying to charge

Get the alternator checked. You might have done something when jumping it. Autozone, etc all do alt testing free.

It does sound like the regulator in the alternator but it can go bad trying to charge a dead battery. I would have both checked just watch out autozone doesnt always have the most accurate and reliable equipment.
