Electrical gremlin?

Ok. 96 gst.So wen i connect the postive terminal to the battery, my headlights come on and dont shut off. Before this thebalternator power wire was incorrectly attatched due to the previous owner, and it blew the alternator fuse which i replaced. The interior lights dont work, door locks dont work and neither does the mirrors or heater controls. Car kicks over and starts for a second then dies. Stock 7 bolt automatic with a 1g cas and using dsmlink, small 16g and front mount.
I got the car half finished so i dont know if the po had the same problem. He rebuilt the motor and lost interest so i had to finish putting it together.

This is what I would do first since I've had a very similar situation happen to my car. Double check all the wires going to/from your alternator and batter to make sure you have them "ALL" installed correctly. Then if all is well I would disconnect the battery and go double check "ALL" of your fuses. When I had something similar happen to my car from the alt being hooked up wrong. It ended up being a blown fuse, but it didn't blow where it's supposed to in that little window so you can see it. It blew where you could only see it if you took the cover off, or looked in at just the right angle with a flashlight. So make sure you really check everything well. If it isn't one of these then it's time to find a detailed wiring diagram and a descent multimeter. From there it's just a process of elimination. Eliminating possible causes of the problem til you get to the correct answer. Good Luck. Hope it's something simple.

The heaights werent on before the alternator fuse blew. Also the horn blows if i turn the headlight switch on. Fuses are all good, and the door lock fuse seems like its not getting power. Sunroof also works i forgot to mention that. Turn signals reverse lights an brake ligts all work as well.

I had this problem for the longest the fix was checking all your wiring i mean all. I found the my harness was was burned several wires where burned all the way threw. The part of my harness that ran under the Radiator and up into the fender well that is how i fixed the issue
