my 95 talon will not start (except by being push started) I have replaced the starter and checked the starter relay and all fuses and checked the starter itself and they all work. I also have bypassed the ignition to try to jump it and still no go. The battery is good(lights on attempt at start didn't dim them) and the solenoid doesn't make any sound at all when the key is turned on. any suggestions?

Simple test - make sure your battery poles arent all gunked and corroded. Clean 'em up and torque em tight.

I have done that. I suppose i should have mentioned the battery is only a few weeks old all main cabling is fine and even when i am trying to start it the voltage does not dip at all at the starter

we have isolated the problem to the starter relay...the harness is not getting any power at all. would there be any difficulties in just bypassing it and using a push button starter?

Why not just replace the relay instead of going through all that trouble of wiring in a pushbutton starter?

If just changing the relay is all you need to do then just change it, they're like 5 bux.

the relay is good the harness that connects to it has a bad wire somewhere and I am just wondering if it would be easier to bypass that completely
