Just wondering how many people would be interested in getting brand new connectors/wiring harnesses for the dsm's? If so which ones would be needed/wanted most? Gauging interest in making them readily available to the community! Just looking for idea's rt now!

ECU coolant temp sensor connector/pins would be REALLY nice. That's the first one I can think of off the top of my head. TPS and the CAS would be nice too.

Do you already have access to these?

Do you have a hookup with Mitsubishi Cable America or something? I tried to contact them about getting connectors a while back and got no response. I would like every connector and extra pins needed to make an entire harness for the car.

i have a couple in stock you never just in case, i get them whenever i see them. Tps, cas, wouuld be nice, even knock sensor connectors.

Just about any under hood really. After 8 years of ownership and hundreds of connecting and disconnecting mine are pretty rough. I personally would also love to find the correct pins so i can shorten my harness with out the hacking. anyone know where ?

Thats what I figured. It seems everyone is always looking for them, but their not readily available. I have been in touch with Mitsubishi Cable America and other sources, the main problem is that they want you to buy min 500 of each connector. I am working with a company rt now to see if I can get liike 25-50 of each connector with pins so they would be avalible. I'm just wondering if I should pursue it fully and if theirs enough demand from the comminty to justify it.

How has your search been going. I'm interested in this too. I know sites like alibaba.com sell connectors in bulk, but I don't know if I would trust them. Has anyone heard anything about injection molding? I don't know how strong the resins are but you could cast some of the connectors.

I think that inject molding your own connectors to reproduce OEM tolerances would be very hard to do.

You probably can't even begin to have your own factory from the price of buying 500 of each other their entire connector line.

That's probably true, but I have heard resin can be some pretty strong stuff. I even went out and bought some to see if I could do it. I just haven't had the chance yet because of school.

Casting resins can do the job if you can make a mold without undercuts and and figure out how to keep it from ripping apart extracting the connector. Trying to cast with the connectors installed just fills them with resin too making it hard to plug anything in.

It can be done but takes some thought and work.

We should just organize a group buy of a large number of various connectors and their pins from Mitsubishi Cable America. Mainly what people need are the pins. Ordering tens of thousands shouldn't be expensive if split among a decent-sized group.

The pins are too easy to find. I'm just having such a hard time finding connectors and I think it's a rip to pay 400 to 600 american for something that really can just be made by anyone's hands.

How is a connector $400 to $600? How does one's hands make connectors like that? They are made by machines.

Ah, yes. I agree. A harness from scratch would be cheap and easy for anyone who actually knows about electricity and proper technical things when it comes to connectors, crimping, soldering, etc.
