When I get back into town we will do that, analyze the autox vids and I'll show you the pics and vids from the DSM Shootout.

next event is this sunday the 21st. ill be out there
They scheduled it the same weekend as the DSM Shootout? What were they thinking, ;) let me know when you find out for sure what's happening for the event in September, if its going to ne cancelled or not.

The next event is going to be September 11th. I'm already registered for it and Derek said he is going to register as well. If they don't get enough people to pre-register, they may end up canceling the event. Anyone else interested?

I need to get me a fake drivers license so i can get into these racing events.

i think they may of checked my license once. The next event is Sunday the 11th. if not enough people sign up though its going to get canceled. After that there are two events in October and one in November and that's it for this season.

The 13th SOLO was earlier today and it was a blast! Derek continued to dominate the rookie class, barely squeezing out a 1st place PAX win over a Civic on radials. I did a LOT better this time and my car felt solid with the new rear tires (and the LSD)! At the last event my best time was 9 seconds behind Derek, this time my best was only 3 seconds behind him. I was still disappointed because it happened during a fun run and wasn't scored... but I know I can push it more at the next event. I was paranoid of my car spinning out during the first few runs (like it always has in the past) but it reminded rock solid and really impressed me. My car is still a lot faster then I am... But I'm getting there. Also Tony made it out in his 2g and watched the action. Hopefully he enters next time! I want more DSM's at these events!!! The next event is a 2 day event October 15th and 16th.

Okay so last event was a two day event, I took first the first day in rookies and second the second day in rookies which puts me 3 points behind leader in rookie class with one event to go. Nate has vastly improved and is now right on my tail, in the beginning he was around 6 seconds behind, this last event was barely one second behind.

There is one more event left this season, would be cool to see a big showing especially since i sold my talon and will be rocking the mazdaspeed 3.

The event is 11/6 which is about a week away. Cost i think is 45 for non members, you get anywhere between 6 and 20 runs depending on if you stay the whole time to do fun runs. Definitely worth it to get the seat time. Runs are normally around 60 seconds long so longer runs then most scca events.
Start time is usually around 10 am but wanna show up around 8 or earlier to walk the course and get familiar with the setup.

I'm down to go with you and try it out man how does it work? Loops and turns or what?

Loops, turns, and slaloms. Lots of breaking, cornering, and quick accelerating. Handling and expirience (practice) are way more important then having lots of power. It is a lot of fun! Unfortunitly I won't be there on the 6th because I will be out of town. Like Derek mentioned though, this is the last event of the year so if you've been thinking about giving it a try, do it now!
