Yeah the 13th is in stone. Mike was the only one to suggest a date so we are going to go with it. We should all be getting there at the same time since we are meeting at Five Guys and cruising over there so that won't be a problem.

Interesting tidbit about Mar 13 that's the day Daylight savings time begins... Let's remember that when we say a time to meet.

the 13th sounds good will spread the word to other guys with dsms... what time will the track be opening if its daylight savings time.. knowing that can determine meeting time at 5 guys and departure.... either way barring any glitches.. im in...

Rules? What rules? Lol, no you don't need a helmet. Most tracks require a helmet if you are running 13.99 or faster but they don't seem to care much at the Motorplex.

The motorplex is basically ran by street rules, anything goes. Only rule they really have is not to have your license plate sitting by your windshield.

This is el paso, you know we all love to cut corners and bend the rules here. Our tracks aren't the exception.

actually, nhra rules are ran when there is an official event/race... especially during the points series racing.. your car is teched, your helmet snell rating is checked and if you are a certain time and/or speed and you are required a certain amount of roll cage.... there is other details like engine diapers, courtesy staging, battery location, burnout length and time....if and when they start the point racing we should all get together and go. they offer alot of information, allows us to sign up and get assigned numbers for the entire season if i can find the actual booklet they handed out last year ill post pix up...

Serg and I were talking about having a "pre-meet" at a car wash in case anyone wants to clean their rides up before the event. Any ideas on a good car wash somewhere near Tinseltown? I figure maybe an hour or two before the meet, what do you guys think?

Also it's been confirmed, the track is going to be open from 6pm - 10pm on the 13th. I'm thinking meet up at Five Guys from 4pm - 6pm, grab a burger, check out all the DSM's and then we all cruise over to the track at 6pm and race the rest of the night away.

Lastly, Serg sent out an invite to over 30 guys, most of which arent even on DSMtuners (I don't know why not) so we should have one heck of a turn out! Those of you who's cars are down, get those wrenches turning so you can make it out too!
