Charlottetown,
My EGR valve has been acting up and giving me all sorts of trouble (not letting me idle), so instead of wasting my money fixing a system that does nothing but bull (recycling unburnt hydrocarbons while draining power), could it be possible to just rip out the whole EGR setup pretty cleanly without encountering problems in the future?

i recently failed emissions testing. i think that my egr valve is bad. my car has idle problems and drinks a lot of gas. problem is egr valve is a little expensice new. i cant seem to find any 2g on the local junkyards. can i use the egr valve from a 1g?

I'd do an EGR block off with your car...You can find it on the vfaq i think...Unless you live in Cali...You don't need to worry about blocking it off..Correct me if i'm wrong guys..But i've been told that Cali is one of the only states that tests? Either way...Good luck man! dan
