EGR valve is blocked off. Do I have to modify the ECU?

I bought this '95 GSX from a guy that had it heavily modified before the timing belt blew. He then proceeded to part a lot of things out of it included the modified ECU.

One of the mods that was done was the EGR valve on the intake manifold is blocked off. My question is, is it ok to run the car with a blocked egr valve with the stock, unmodified computer?

Yep, as far as I know the only computer mod you can do for the EGR is by using DSMLink to disable all emmissions.

I have my EGR blocked and I have a completely stock ECU, as well as about 8 locals I know. Getting rid of it won't affect your computer output.

If you have the EGR blocked off I'd recommend an ignition box like the MSD DIS-2 to get a more complete burn. Here is a post I made in another thread earlier to explain which you may find helpful. Good Luck.
