Can anyone tell me where my egr valve is located and what is looks like? Also will I need to remove anything to get to it? Thanks for the help

It's located on the back of the intake manifold, bottom left as you look at your engine bay. You'll have to remove the battery, battery tray, & upper intercooler pipe to make it a lot easier on yourself to get at it. EGR Block-off Plate Install

It's a diamond shaped valve with a buldge on it. It's attached with 2 bolts on the #4 intake runner on the passenger side of the runner.

Thanks guys... I located it pretty quickly. Unfortunately, I realized that for the maybe 2 years I had the car, the egr was never connected. The vacuum line that goes to the top nipple just had a screw in it, as if someone wanted it blocked off for some reason. I took out the screw, connected back to the egr and the car started stumbling severely. Any suggestions? I didn't try yet, but I was thinking about reconnecting it and increase the idle and see if that keeps it from stumbling? doubt that's a good idea.

I'm not sure why you were trying to get at the EGR in the first place whether it was removing it all together or ensuring it what hooked up properly. In either case though I suggest leaving the vacuum line removed until you can either get a working EGR valve to fix the problem and pass smog or get an EGR block-off plate to get rid of the EGR all together.

I was trying to check it because a few weeks ago a egr sensor? Code came up. So I figured I would check it. I never had any problems with it in terms of it showing up on a obd-II. Ever since then I've noticed my exhaust rumbling down on deceleration and stalling when switchig gears. Anything I can do before I have to buy a new one? Also what harm will blocking off the egr do?

The reason why you get the code is when the egr solenoid goes bad or gets disconnected , otherwise your CEL wont turn on even if the vaccum line is disconnected.

Not sure if it is true on 2G but on a 1G, the CEL will come on after a while of disconnecting the EGR vacuum. There is a temperature sensor that senses the hot gases is making it's way to the EGR valve or not. Again this was on a 1G
