okay so i want to remove my egr system completly nad yes before anyone asks or says anything i have done a seach and read every topic or post regarding this subject and they were all very helpful. but there were many diffent opions on exactly how to go about taking it out i know how to install the block off plate but what should i do with the vavle itself after the block off plate is installed and the valve is just hanging there?

-thanks
tyler

you can either put the plate between the valve and the head or you can remove the valve all together. mine is coming in the mail soon and i plan on removing the entire system and rerouting the vac lines.

thats what i want to do. so what im saying is im going to unbolt the egr valve then unplug the vaccum lines coming off of it and dispose of the egr valve, then install the block off plate. what should i do with unplugged vaccum lines off the egr valve?

you should be able to either plug the port on the manifold that it comes from or if it's T'd then just remove that section from the T. You can get little rubber caps from youre local auto store i.e. autozone.

so just pull the hoses out and plug all the empty holes then its pretty much done?
