ecu socket help

the one corner of the socket (the plastic shit) busted and one pin busted off, can i just have the one pin soldered back on and it work? would the plasic being busted affect it?

please help

Better to just have a new socket put on. Jury-rigging such an integral part of your car is... not recommended.

Depends on the type of socket. On a machine pin socket the plastic just supports and spaces the pin sockets. On a wiper socket it forms part of the clamping of the pins.
