Resolved ECU Protective Coating?

Hey I just saw a picture of an ecu that was cleaned to where the clear protective film was pulled up around the area and the ecu appeared to have little signs of rusting around the soldered connections. What is the protective coating that is on the ecu and where can I get it? Thanks

It's called a conformal coating and the waxy type originally used is more for volume production since it heated up and the board are dipped in it. They are various type of spray on conformal coatings sold at electronic supply shops.

Alright thanks Steve. I'll go and check it out. I searched but didn't see anything pop up for radio shack or walmart. I'll have to find some electrical supply shops around here. Do you normally put some coating on ECUs after you finish working on them? I'm not in a rust prone area, but I'd rather be safe then sorry. Thanks again
