Got a new turbo setup.

Low Battery therefore I tried to jump it.

Once in vehicle, white smoke came from center console. I knew it was the ECU

Pulled it and I see PIN 81 and PIN 92 are burnt up. See picture.

I see sensor impressed voltage and ground.

Question is... How did this happen?

This is a 2g eprom

Did you change an O2 sensor? Pin 92 is sensor ground which people sometimes mistakenly connect the O2 heater ground to that wire which will blow that trace. Unplug the ECU. There should be no continuity from harness side pin 92 to ground. If there is you have a short (to chassis ground) or somethings miswired (to chassis ground).

No I kept the og O2. I did rewire the fans since the wiring was burnt. That is the only electrical I messed with.

Fal Fans to be exact. I wired the way they were before. Drivers harness black to fan black, blue to fan red.

Before i did see a possible electrical issue as my radiator light would turn on and off. Ebrake light would stay on for a while till it turned off.

I suspected the alterator voltage regulator.

when the ecu did blow, radiator light, cel, fan relays, and other switches were spazing out.. i suppose the impressed voltage sensor PIN 81 was the reason? as seen its track is completely melted.

Just want to catch the problem before i burn the newcoming ecu..

Pin 81 is a 5V supply to four sensors: fuel tank diff pressure, MAF atmospheric pressure, TPS, Mani diff pressure. There would have to be a short in one of those (or their wiring) to blow it's trace. Or if the ECU traces for 81 and 92 touched each other.
