Are EBC yellow stuff brake pads worth it? Do you feel a major difference over oem?

Yellowstuff pads are meant for racing. Yes, they grab significantly harder than OEM pads (and most/all street pads). However, they will take longer the heat up to use them at their full potential. If this isn't going on a mainly race car, I would look at a different pad.
you should be fine with green stuff pads really nice for dd and canyons. do a gsx front caliper upgrade. and ss lines.
On all the cars ive done brake jobs on usually the rear brakes are smaller pads then the front but again that's 100% for a 1ga and various other vehicles.Thank you for the post nonetheless
I'm pretty sure we run stock dual piston calipers. I'd assume it'd be the same as the GST. I just wanna be sure is all. I'm also assuming the front and rear are the same pads? I wanna do EBC green stuff on all four corners
Honestly I think you're correct. Just that I saw on another thread someone else was gonna run them so I just assumed they're all the same size. If anyone else can confirm if we infact have different sizes for front vs rear that would be great. Otherwise, I'd like to do them all four cornersOn all the cars ive done brake jobs on usually the rear brakes are smaller pads then the front but again that's 100% for a 1ga and various other vehicles.
dont wanna give you misinformation though
I have the yellow ebc pads on Baer brakes with slotted rotors on my car for 2 years DD none of the above issues seem to be a problem but yes they do stop very well even on cold stops. They have me hesitant about putting on my 4 piston stoptechs the car stops so well.If these are going to be for your N/T, don't even think about it. And, that's not putting down N/T's, it's being realistic. Your profile says your car is stock. Is it going to be a purpose built racecar?
Yellow stuff pads are what I would call entry-level track pads, nothing you really want to run on the street daily. The compound takes a while to heat up and you might find yourself sliding through your favorite stop sign on a brisk winter morning. Also, being an aggressive pad, the pads will wear into the rotor and chew it up over time. Fairly common for track pads. Word is that these are some of the mildest of the bunch - but that doesn't translate into "OK, should be perfect for my DD, then".
If you really do want some mean brakes, give the redstuffs a whirl. That, or try a different manufacturer.
