Ebay (Raceconcepts) Brake/Rotor Review

So I got my set. Everything looks great and quality semms pretty good. Install went smooth except for the front pass rotor. I couldn't get it to seat correctly without having the caliper bracket touch the rotor. I don't blame the rotor. I matched it up with the stock rotor and it seemed to be a perfect match. I believe since the car is so old, and it probably still had the original rotors from the looks of them, that the new one needed some convincing to get on there. So I slapped on all five lug nuts and started tightening them down until the rotor sat properly. So far the car is braking great. I am still breaking them in but it seems to be working out great.

i had the same exact thing happen to my front passanger, except i didnt notice it until i drove down the road and heard it grinding  Luckily it didnt do any damange or mess up my newly painted calipers. I jus had to put the wheel on and keep doing the star pattern over and over until it finally seated right.

Hopefully the dust calms down a bit once the pads break in.
I did the cash back deal also, so for the price you really cant beat it. Hell ive gotten my turbo, intercooler, clutch, flywheel, all with ebay cash back. Ive for $450 due in around 2 weeks :)

net cost for a evo III 16g will be $350 :D

I couldn't figure out the whole cash back thing.

This weekend I changed my pads to Hawk's Ceramics. They're still in the break-in process, I did do the 65-10, 5 hard stop process first, but seem much better over the C-Tek. I guess you can say this is my review of the C-Teks after about 5 months.

They dust a little bit still but not bad or anything. What they do like to do is squeal. Everywhere, and anytime really. If they're cold, they squeal. If they're warm, they squeal. When I'm making a right hand turn they also squeal regardless if I'm braking or not. I haven't noticed too much over the past few weeks but they would kind of squeal when driving and the sound pitch would change with speed. Usually around 20-45 is most noticeable. I've also noticed that they dont seem brake well after they've been ran for a drive. Seems the warmer they get, the more it takes to brake. It's not something that's alarming, just something I've noticed.

Ah, and for the rotors just in case anyone missed it but I did change the slots where they face \ if your looking at the front driver's side. They also still look great, even after all of the braking and wear they've been through. I'll post some updated pics. sometime.
