Awesome, I am definitely going w/ this kit now...it seems like nothing but good things so I am gonna buy it as soon as i get my paycheck on friday... :thumb:

I think your making hthe right choice i just recently bought an intercooler from jr and i did feel alot of difference along with my injectors and afc went from a 13.6 101mph to a 13.3 at 105mph wich i havent tuned yet . you should buy it

I drove almost 5 hours one way to speak with JR and Jeremy in person. I am very picky about this stuff and had to see what the real deal was. I also didn't mind checking out the 300z!! ;) Anyway, I spoke with JR about the intercoolers specs, etc. I also taked shop with him for a little while. I felt bad that I was taking up a couple hours of his time where he could have been working instead.

All and all, he is VERY knowledgable about forced induction and all motors in general. They are the real deal and their product is very well constructed. For the price of his kits, you simply can not beat the value. I also know that this kit has very short routing for the piping. I bought the kit for the GM blowthrough and a TO4e comp. and black powdercoated piping. I am very happy with what I purchased so far.

I will be doing a detailed installation guide and will post MANY detailed pictures for those of you who are considering purchasing this kit. I will have a step by step detailed guide with pictures for the installation, including bumper support modification for those of you who are thinking about getting the bigger core.

Look for the thread in Advanced Engine performance by this weekend. I hope this will help you all out with the decision of the intercooler setup you want to purchase. :thumb:

that's a 300 dollar intercooler and 40 dollars of piping.

you guys have too much money.

I know what you mean. We pay for ease of installation and the amount of time it would take to make that kit. Yes, I could have fabbed up my own kit no problem. But why do it when someone else allready has, and they have done as good of a job as you would?? My time is better spent doing what I do for a living than spending all day fabbing up a kit, then sending it off to get powder coated. Know what I mean?? If you add it all up, plus the time it will take to do it @ $/hr you make making a living. Then you will see that it adds up to more than $340.00 :thumb: I do know what you are saying, it just is not feasable to most people on here.

jr is the shit, i have his intercooler and its great quality, very impressed

ill assume youve never done ic piping before. it takes like 2 hours.

because you can do it for ~250 cheaper. im sure its a good job, but any monkey with a welder can do "a good job".

you must make a fcuk ton an hour. if you make as much as you claim, i suggest you sell the dsm and buy a porsche.

Maybe you need to get a second job, you seem to have a lot of extra time on your hands that you use to tell other people what to do w/ money that you didnt make. Im sure you could buy all the pieces to build a turbo, how come u aint doin that? Not everyone wants to or knows how to fab up their own stuff for their car. A lot of people dont even understand how the car even works let alone make something for it. :shhh: No one on here needs your opinion if it aint helpful!! :talon: :thumb:

what are you basing my time on? my two posts? my postings in this thread certainly qualify me for a person with lots of extra time.

no thanks on the second job. i dont need the extra cash to waste on fmic kits and other overpriced products.

because 14b's are 50 dollars.

perfect. this is the kit for them. you have just described the people buying this kit.

:shhh: No one on here needs your opinion if it aint helpful!! :talon: :thumb:

the comments in your post were equally helpful.

Maybe you should start selling FMIC kits? Some people like to pay for kits that have everything in them, others like to do it themselves? Any idiot with a service manual can fix a car, but you still see people going to shops and dealerships. Is the computer you use from a manufacturer or did you build it yourself, because I bet you can do it cheaper. Or I bet you could build a TV if you took enough time, but its just much simpler knowing when you buy something you will be able to spend 4 hrs. and have a complete quality piece when you are done.

yeah, i should.

you are referring to soccer moms going to the dealership to change something they just heard of yesturday called a spark plug.

Is the computer you use from a manufacturer or did you build it yourself, because I bet you can do it cheaper.

built for free from about 4 different broken computers found in buddies basement.

Or I bet you could build a TV if you took enough time, but its just much simpler knowing when you buy something you will be able to spend 4 hrs. and have a complete quality piece when you are done

enough. cutting pipes with a hand saw and then connecting them with couplers is easy as pie, and does not cost 300+ dollars. youre comparing apples to oranges here in a lousy attempt to get your point across.

And you're trying to get *your* point across to people who don't really want to hear it because they'd rather buy a kit that's ready to go, no fabrication necassary. Woopty-f*cking-do, you can fab stuff up on the cheap  . STFU already and let them buy a kit.

just trying to save people a few hundred dollars.

My sig is a JR setup (extremeintercooling.com)

I paid $200 for my setup. Bends $50

dude the site doesnt work. is the link right?

I'm purchasing a kit because i like the piping, the fact that i'm having a tial flange and blowthrough set up for me and the core has some nice specs. I do not own a tig welder so i won't be fabbing up my own core and endtanks. I do own a couple mig welders and while i'm not going to throw a roll of aluminum wire into weld up my end tanks i'm not about to cut a bunch of pieces of pipe and weld them. but i guess i could go just find a core and endtanks and go from there. I could take things to an exhuast shop to use their bender but it'll cost me and actually shops around me are a huge pain about doing small things and taking up their time. so i really can't do that. I'd rather not take a hack saw and cut pipe and just stick them together. i've rebuilt a few motors, welded up some airbag and hydrolic suspension set ups and done a few full exhuast systems so i guess i know what a spark plug is along with some other things.
i like the kit and don't mind paying some money for something with some quality that is going to hold up and has been tested.
i understand people want to save some money, but realize not everyone has the means to put together their own kit, nor have experience on the right ways to do things. if you want to tell me whats wrong with each of my sentences feel free. this is a forum to inform people of the proper way of doing things. so i think it would be best to inform people of how to pick a core and how to correctly bend pipes, cut pipes and flair them along with the best types of pipe routing and not just say, "any monkey with a welder can put a kit together" lets explain the correct settings for doing a certain size pipe, best wire and gas. are we using tig or mig here? cutting pipes with a hack saw? i can think of some more accurate ways. just connecting them with couplers? sorry i'd rather flair the ends of the pipe so those couplers don't blow off. but i would like to see the kit you've put together for your car. i'm assuming you have done this and some pics would be great for future ideas.

Not all "monkeys" can weld aluminum.

well its an attempt at a nice page. he may want to take it offline until he can get all the pages working. :shhh:

oh, now theyre aluminum pipes.

...endtanks. You're talking about fabbing up a FMIC, which the Ebay seller fabs custom endtanks on those cut Powerstroke cores. Piping is a given, any monkey can buy U bends and cut to fit and clamp silicon hoses on the end.

Believe it or not, I think you've already made more of an ass out of yourself than you really wanted to. I've got news for you..........most people don't know how to weld. Most people don't know how to build computers. Most people don't know how to fab anything, let alone a front mount ic. If you want to continue thinking and acting like you're better than everyone else, take your pathetic bi***-ass elsewhere. You're wasting space on this website.
