Ok.. I got the kit from mangina. Now this is my first front mount I ever installed and I don't think I did to bad all thought I have to buy a 90 degree silicone couple to mount to the stock turbo also I need a longer couple for the uicp because im only like an inch short. Also your going to have to cut the lower piping were it runs to your turbo because the bend is too wide. Now when I say this beleive me GET SHIPPING INSURANCE OR REALLY GOOD PACKING BECAUSE MY CORE CAME ALL F'D UP I HAD LOTS OF BENT FINS AND IT WAS DROPPED REALLY HARD AND DENTED ON BOTTOM. Im going to take some pics today so I can show everyone.

I have a HIGH QUALITY 90 degree coupler that I ordered for this setup but never used. It's blue and 3 or 4 ply. Let me know if you want to buy it. Now that my self advertising is done. I had the same issue with the uicp even thou it was mounted as high as it would go (i have an eagle, maybe eclipses are different slightly- the pictures online of installs between the two have slight differences) ANYHOW.

To save you a bunch of searching, there is a seller on ebay that is selling 3 foot sections of 4 ply hose for $30 shipped (that is a steal). The cheapest I could find it elsewhere for that much hose was over $90. The sellers username is xlr8ing1234. No- that's not me in case anyone wants to ask.

Magina is sending me a new core plus covering shipping on the return core...Thats why eveyone should do business with this guy it would take weeks to get a new core from ebay and thats saying they would even return it. A++++ In my book.

Doh, my 90 degree coupler is 2.5 and I just looked at it- it's a piece of crap that is thick silicone but not reinforced; I wouldn't sell it to you anyway because it will blow in 1k miles. Oh well. When buying any type of silicone hose make SURE IT SAYS "REINFORCED X PLY" where x>=2 :)

Anyhow the hose I won is here:

personally i wouldnt buy anything off ebay for ## motor. appearance is ok to go on ebay for but when ## dealin with ## motor its abit more serious and should stick to name brand sites since ull know its legit and will perform good.

That's an ignorant statement and not one that anybody with an ounce of knowledge would ever make. Back your statement up.

i back up the thewraith on what he said. but as far as ebay intercoolers go i just got mine in the other day from Justintercoolers and it looks amazing and has no leaks what so ever.

After all the hp numbers to back up certain ebay intercoolers, especially the ssac, that statement can only be made by someone who has more money than common sense. To the ssac install, I finished it up on Sunday. Things I did to make the kit bought from mangina work on a 95 gst w/14b... There have been many questions as to what J pipe to use, I chose the dejon j pipe, as per turbo420a, there was no clearance issues at all with the fan. To connect to the j pipe and licp with the stainless steel elbow provided, I would have had to done yet more cutting of either the elbow or licp, I just cut down the stock licp to match the elbow I needed, clamped right on! Cut intercooler inlet about 1/4" from weld, close to 4" overall cut off. Without this being cut, the licp would not fit. (Oil filter housing) As stated earlier the coupler that connects the uicp and intercooler outlet needs to be about an inch longer, to fix this I just used a piece off the stock uicp, cut it down to about 4", fit straight on! Haven't had time to do proper boost leak test, but tightened the h*ll out of those to clamps, hopefully will hold well!!!:dsm:

I'm very interested in your setup. Did you do anything different other put the 1000cc/min injectors in?

I have a set of 1000cc/min injectors laying around and thought I might put them to good use.

The link didn't work. It could be the same company diffrent name, but I can't say for sure if I can't see it.

You get what you pay for.

Well that doesn't say alot... There are turbos kits out there that ebay sell that work good. God knows at the threads on that.

But anyways, as far as inter-cooling piping bro, i would not buy it from ebay.

I but alot off of ebay, but this one i would not. Need a good name brand for your piping.

Look around and see if you can find something better, IMO

does this kit look good? i've seen previous threads on ebay kits saying they were good but none were this kit? would this work well with my greddy FMIC and Evo III?

eBay Motors: DSM 2G Upper & Lower intercooler piping kit Eclipse (item 350022459706 end time Feb-11-08 12:34:15 PST)

Your public profile says that you are running a Greddy FMIC. Sow what's up with you wanting some more UICPs? Those pipes would have been changed with the install of a FMIC, am I not right? What's particular your situation?

Would I buy an e-bay part like this; sure! I'd be scared that the part wouldn't fit right, or some crappy metal was used to make it so it sucks, or that I couldn't get my BOV to seal right. I'd be worried as far as all that goes. Otherwise I figure UICPs are all about air flow, so if you have the stock units installed, and you go to some metal ones like he referenced on e-bay, then that's an improvement. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

But yea would figure all the pipes connecting the greddy intercooler to the car are hard pipes.

I think the measurements are similar on the [ebay] one I'm trying to install [cxracing]

that looks similiar to my FMIC, but i bought a universal intercooler kit, so i think there will be alot of welding and cutting. I never understoon why you would make bother pipes go to one side, doesn't one side connect to the end of the turbo (so wouldnt it be easier to make the right side go to the right instead of looping it to the left?)

I'm pretty sure it's actually f'd up in the link above... it's not my car so I'm just learning as I go :coy:

I think ours is a universal kit as well.

Did your kit come with a flange for the BOV, or you're gonna have to weld that in?
