To be honest i don't remember but i think it was ETS, but it has the end tanks on the oposite ends, and not pointing in.

how much are you looking to spend, the "best" ebay intercooler is going to be a used buschur or left over ETS intercooler. Don't even bother with an SSAC or godspeed one. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!

Unless you have some personal experience with them , i would keep my mouth shut. and that doesnt include what you " hear ".

plenty of us have been doing just fine running the SSAC kits.

there's a company called Car Accessories, Car Alarm - www.k2motor.com from my experience dejon gets their intercoolers from them. The Dejon Street kit intercooler is the 33x12x3 intercooler that k2 motor sells. Very reasonable price.

I'm pretty sure you're wrong. Dejon has always made their own piping and kits.

They may have replicated dejon's kit but I'm pretty sure they don't supply them with the kit.

I agree, do NOT go with the SSAC kit. Too many issues. I know that it's a good low priced solution. But pay $150 more and don't to thru the headache of fitting this kit, cutting your frame, drilling your frame, then worrying about hoses blowing off because the pipes aren't long enough.

I've installed a few of these and if you run into issues where the piping isn't long enough it's because you incorrectly mounted the core. if you mount it too low or too high thats the problem you run into.

Plus you aren't cutting into your frame, you cut into the radiator support which has no structural integrity at all and you have to do that with every short route FMIC kit. There are no "bolt on" short route kits on the market.

In your case if you installed it incorrectly you could make it work by just buying longer couplers anyway.

My issue is that it's too short- so I now need more hose which I just ordered. Either way- I got what I paid for. I shouldn't have really cared about saving $150 but for those on a budget this is a decent choice. And yes- I cut into my radiator core support. Out of about 50 fmic installs on different cars this is the FIRST time I've had to cut the car so excessively.

The first one I did I actually had to mount about 3 times to get the perfect spot. If you look on the actual subframe where the mounts get drilled I drilled and tapped a hole right where the frame bends inwards. It was kind of awkward but it worked ok.

Hmm..good idea- I just went with the foglight holes that many suggested to use. It looks fine with the 2g eclipse bumper on the car. I just have to get these damned longer hoses since the supplied ones keep popping off.

i have the godspeed kit on mine and i have had no problem with it...seems like the fins are stronger then most kits

There are no issues with this kit. You have to buy one coupler and a t bolt clamp, big deal. It fits perfect, and I bought it because I prefer the piping to go through the radiator support. It is the shortest routing and is not structural. Also, my hoses have never blown off and fit fine.

With every ssauto like kit on the market you have to buy 1 2.5" coupler and 2 2.5" t-bolt clamps. The only ones that come complete is the one with black couplers on ebay/the forums.

I still agree with you guys here btw in that it's a great lower priced solution. You can't really beat the price- especially if you call ssac directly or email them. It may have just been that I was taking the install instructions on this board too literally and should have questioned them more. I guess just like everything else that you do with cars and modifications- use your head and don't rush. I was rushing..

My SSAC kit also only took about 2 hours to install, from start to finish. A bit of cutting, drilling, and swearing, but what DSM install doesn't include all of that? For 280 shipped and experiencing ZERO heatsoak after consistent 25 psi pulls, well, that's good enough for me. To date, I believe the fastest SSAC kit has alread gone 11.5@122+, so if that's not good enough, please let me know what it is.

I plan to install the fmic I got from Mangina tonight, after hearing of the mounting issues people have, wouldn't it make sense to assemble all piping, then line up and mount the core so you know your not off? Also, has anyone installed one of these with a 14 b and not had to cut either the licp or core inlet? I'm thinking by shimming the core away from the rad support a little would fix the problem? And yes, it came with all clamps and couplers

YES. As I mentioned before- do a temporary mount and see how the pipes line up, but you will have to cut ## frame either way so go ahead and do so. Although mounting the ic side tabs to the existing fog light holes will work- I'd recommend mounting it differently (lower) by drilling your own holes. Yes- mine is shimmed as well. Also relocate your ps lines to behind the front bar, takes a minute to do.

actually let me restate that. The piping YES is done by Dejon, the intercoolers NO, he does not make them himself. I recently had a dispute with Dejon over an intercooler I got that was damaged, he then sent me his invoice from his wholeseller to show me that my intercooler was on the way. Long story short, i ended up just getting s 25% refund off of the dinged up intercooler which costs him $150 to get. If anyone is skeptical or doesn't believe me I have all of his emails that he sent me.

Its sad because I purchased the kit off of Dejon thinking that they too made their own intercoolers, but the intercooler just ended up coming from a ebay store. I'm pretty sure they used to make their own kits, but not anymore, I'm sure its way cheaper to buy a prefab then fab it yourself in today's market.

I got the kit from mangina.Now this is my first front mount I ever installed and I don't think I did to bad all thought I have to buy a 90 degree silicone couple to mount to the stock turbo also I need a longer couple for the uicp because im only like an inch short.Also your going to have to cut the lower piping were it runs to your turbo because the bend is too wide.Now when I say this beleive me GET SHIPPING INSURANCE OR REALLY GOOD PACKING BECAUSE MY CORE CAME ALL F'D UP I HAD LOTS OF BENT FINS AND IT WAS DROPPED REALLY HARD AND DENTED ON BOTTOM. Im going to take some pics today so I can show everyone.

That is stand up service Mangina . I received mine last Saturday Morning, bad thing I was out of town all weekend until Tuesday evening. Lucky I have neighbors I can trust!! The only thing I might suggest for packing would be a piece of bubble wrap foam on the front of the core, the only thing protecting it is the thin cardboard box, other then maybe 10 slighly bent fins(ten minutes and a small screwdriver) I give it an A+++ all the way around. I also checked the tb elbow with a straight edge and it was better than expected!

I specifically asked for more protection on any surface touching the box and even turned the core upside down so it's not facing the ground but apparently DHL has a way of "massaging" things the wrong way
