ebay downpipe and catback

ive found a good deal on a generic cat back 3" pipe. question is, is will a standard 2.5" inlet 3" outlet downpipe eliminate my cat? will it just connect straight to the cat back? ive heard conflicting things on this. will i need a test pipe?

Do you have a link to the cat back. That might help us out in telling you what you want to know. Most of the E-bay 3" downpipes do eliminate the cat and bolt straight to your cat back, assuming the flanges are welded on at the correct angel...

notice on the catback it says "stock inlet size" that would probably be a problem. may have to cut and reweld with a very short section of 3". muffler shop would do that for 30 bucks tho i think.

would this set up require a test pipe?

No, doesn't require a test pipe. Should be GTG, with the exception of the stock inlet size.
