Ebay 50 trim

I have an Ebay 50 trim turbo that has shaft play. I was curious to see what you guys think i should do. kinda shy on money sooo . The thought came to me today and i was thinking of rebuilding it so it would last, how do ebay turbos hold up after a rebuild? The cost of doing this and other things i should know. Or just save up forever for a new PTE 50 trim? thanks guys.

I'm normally a fan of saving the money and doing it right the first time but if you are strapped for cash and can find a decent rebuild kit/can do the work yourself then give it a shot and see what happens.

If you're saving, save for another turbo....eBay 50-trim's and PTE 50-trims seem to have about the same reliability.

If it were me, I'd go the used HX35 route. Quicker spool, more potential, and proven durability.
