I have a question for the locals. The last time I went we had dinner at Damons at Barefoot Landing. They say there is another Damons.

Can someone comfirn this and how does it compare to the one a Barefoot Landing?

When we went to the Barefoot landing one, I was not impressed and it wasn't like any other Damons I have been too.

The other Damon's is at 30th South & Ocean Boulevard right on the beach (In Myrtle Beach). I think the Damon's are independently owned. Don't quote me on that. I've been to the one at 30th South and had no complaints about it. I missed the last get together though, so I'm not sure what problems you guys had with the one at barefoot landing.

I have never been to a meet like this before, what kind of stuff would we do and how much would you guess the whole weekend is going to cost. After all I am a college kid and an income is one thing I dont have going for me. But hopefully I'll be there in feb.

I don't know if you saw but there is a at least one other guy coming down from jersey so I'm sure you could meet up with him and drive down and as far as costs go you might be able to room with someone to help share the costs and make things cheaper. Hopefully someone will either PM you or just post on here and help you out. If not people are finding hotels pretty cheap so just check orbitz and travelocity and places like that. See you in feb.

No, def. not. In one of my business classes a franchiser for Damon's came in a talked to us about getting franchises started and bascially the owner can make it into what they want. The only thing that is really the same is the name and the food and even the food differs slightly from place to place depending on the culture of the area.

They aren't sports bar type restaurants here. The one on South Ocean, is sit down and enjoy a nice meal also.

mapquest said 16 miles.. It's about a 15-25 minute drive depending on traffic I would think. I didn't realize we had one up in North Myrtle.

I'm originally from NJ, central jersey, hunterdon county, but i'm down in myrtle beach going to school at coastal carolina university now. Like i put on the list of people coming down i have room for 2, if you don't mind sleeping on a couch or futon. Since you are trying to save some money, you are more then welcome to stay here. Let me know what you wanna do. Also you should copy and paste and add your name to the list too.
