I have a 95 talon tsi and I need a new lower timing belt cover. Does anyone know if it is exactly the same part as on an eclipse? Also does anyone know the part numbers for these covers?
thanks

Yes, it is the same as the eclipse. I will get you the part number when I get home from work. Unless somebody beats me to it.

What if you don't have your timing covers on, I've seen some guys without them on but what if they get wet, should I have them on?

yes, you need to run with the timing cover. It protects from water yes, but worse yet, road grime is worse...If a little pebble gets loged in your crank pully or something, you can easily toss the belt.

here is the part numbers:
MD141457 for just the timing belt, upper, cover and yes it is the same for a 2G.
MD141454 the lower cover. those are the mitsubishi replacement # from the dealership.

i hope this helps.
