e-brake light on when i press pedal

anyone have any ideas of what could cause the emergency brake light on my dash to come on when i press the normal brake pedal. it just started happening when it got really cold out.

I had similar problem, once it started to get cold outside, brake light would go on and stay on, it didn't go off till I shut the car off and restarted it again. It's gotta be something with the sensor for fluid reservoir, make sure you got enough brake fluid.

Same thing happened to my car, it was time to change the brake pads

I second this motion. Happened to me earlier this year. Resorvior was completely empty.
