2G E-brake handle diassembly

Does anyone know how to remove the plastic cover of a 2g emergency brake handle from the metal lever underneath? It seems that they're glued together, but I can't tell for sure. The only thing I've managed to do is unscrew the knob on the top.

Mine just lifts up from the bottom and wiggles off. 2 cars do the same of mine, it might be a little tight at first but its not hard

No, mine on both was not glued on
