1g e brake handle upgrade anyone?

I've been looking at these nice Momo E Brake handles. I did a search on the net and found this WRX owner who did a momo e brake install. I searched on here and didn't find anyone who had done this with their 1g.

Heres the handles I'm looking at.

Anyone know if I would I have to cut the stock handle off like the subie guy did?

It's real easy, just be prepared for a lot of cutting with heavy-duty scissors.

interesting, thanks. I will prolly do this after I finish a few other things cause by the time its done one would have to spend about 150 or so on this int mod.

What adapter did you use? Got a part number? See here they don't show an adapter available for any dsm.

No adapter part number, sorry. I just went to my local shop and asked to see a bunch of the momo adapters, took them out to the car to see which one would work, went back inside and bought it. Just go local for that part?

I suppose I could try and find a local shop that stocks that stuff, earlier it crossed my mind to buy all of them since they are "only" 4.50 each. *shrug*

I used a Nissan adapter.

I just went with an Ichiban brushed aluminum knob. had to cut alot of the rubber away to make it slide over the stock one but it fits, and comes with a bunch of ends to fit the stock release button.

Now I just have to make the boot and Im set.
