Alright so there's a place I go to that does custom spray paint colors. You tell them what you want and they mix it up on the spot and put it in an aerosol can. I have an SMIM that's all scratched to hell so I'm going to sand it smooth, primer it, and paint it. The spray paint cans say omni pak with a little krylon industrial logo on the bottom, but I'm pretty sure it's dupont paint since it's what they almost exclusively carry.

So does anyone have an idea what temperature a good quality spray paint is good for? Has anyone spray painted any parts that get exposed to moderate heat? The custom cans are about 14$ a piece so I don't want to waste my money if it will just bake off.

i have had no luck with spray can paint for heat resistnce except when i use a good primer underneath and use a good clear coat on top. if it is a one step color with no clear that goes over top it will most likely just peel off with a little heat.
