Purple head eh? Must get alot of use out of it LOL. I needa shave my vc someday and powdercoat.

You have no idea... LOL

I shaved that one with nothing but a grinder and a variety pack of sand paper. Then polished, painted with Metalcast, and covered in high temp clear. Took it from this:

It's really easy, it just takes a really long time. If you want I could try and find the writeup my buddy made on the whole process.

Yet to find the thread I mentioned, but here's a good post on Aluminum Polishing. Grind off the letters/lines if you want, get the surface uniform with like 120 or 240 grit, and then follow the advice in that post.

Daps bro, that looks extremely good for a DIY. I played around with a spair in garage using a stone grinding wheel. After 10 min I said F that!! Ill wait till I get an angle grinder and a metal grinding disk LOL.

Go to walmart or home depot and get one of those wheels for a grinder that looks like multi layersof sandpaper. I forget what theyre called, but theyre great on aluminum, and you can get them with several different grits, from 40 up

Flap disk (at least that's what I always called them).
They are great for cleaning things up before welding too.

Not totally dumb, but the seller definitely isn't 100% on this thing. Least he has a recirc'd BOV in the pics.

Besides him not really knowing much about the motor rebuild I don't see what is wrong with it. Tasteful mods. ECMlink. Clean looking. Little overpriced but he just threw a ton of cash into it (supposedly).

I wouldn't buy it but I don't see why it qualifies for a "dumbest thing you have heard a dsmer say."

Edit: What is with the "LoveFab headers" when you can clearly tell it is an FP manifold? LOL. I'm thinking this guy just bought this car and some stuff has started to go wrong with it and he doesn't have the money to put into it and just can't recall all the names of the stuff the PO told him was on it. haha.

I outgrew my buddies CBR600 after the first week of learning to drive a bike

Man, I didn't even need to go outside of this thread to find something worthy of it.

I've watched guys on ninja 250's destroy 600 & liter bikes on solid paced street rides.

I think what you mean to say is "I outgrew my fear of straight line acceleration in a week" because there is a virtually 0% chance you outgrew the capabilities of what any 600cc supersport can deliver in terms of braking and cornering in a week.

Then again, your philosophy makes sense. I had tons of n00bs on 600 claim their bikes would take my busa in corners and when they couldn't, it wasn't that they needed to learn how to ride better, nope, it was that they needed a literbike.

Talking with a kid that had a 2g Eclipse gs. Car had a 200mph speedometer in it and he was checking out my 1g Talon Tsi. He says his car could beat mine top end because his speedometer goes to 200 and mine says 145 only haha

" my Forged pistons and rods and knife edged crank that I bought for my 94 all wheel drive I'm going to put in this engine (2g n/t)". "they are the engine because they are both 2.0s. My 94awd had the same engine as this one"(2g n/t).
Gave up trying to learn him^. Smh

Apparently it's not hard to make 500hp on a small 16g using 85 octane fuel and 10:1 compression. It's just "all in the tune".

Wow wes that is way to far into technical than a few guys I know. They just count whatever HP each product they put on their vehicles is and add that to come up with an easy 500HP.

"Well my truck stock is about 325.....The filter I put on was about 20....I got full exhaust that gets about 40.... I put injectors from ___ in mine since they are bigger ...uh about 50. It's about 500 hp.

^ You mean that's not the right way to do it? LOL

No they can't even add. 325+20 yeah got it...355...+40 uh huh 395....+50......yuuup 500hp :tease: I asked about tuning the bigger injectors and got the

random dude: "hey, do you have a turbo"
me: yea.. its a gsx of with a huge front mount.. obvi
random dude: oh ok well have a good one, i bet my stock civic could beat you in a 3 mile race.
me:ha okay man... hey quick question did you remember to fill up your blinker fluid
random dude:umm i did it 3k ago i need to get that done soon ### its running really hot lately
me:LOL i drove away
