hey DSMers,
names phaze, my girlfriend has recently acquired a 92 laser rs, auto, non-turbo. recent project of ours now, while i undergo head swap for my 00 neon. it's red, just sprayed the hood nd trunk blk to match the blk roof, sprayed steelies blk w/a cupcake pink lip (what, i told you its my g/f's). looks pretty clean now, cause b4 when we bought it its was hideous. we are just hitting the dsm scene, nd have encountered a problem.
seems that the mechanic that put the car together b4 we bought it used the wrong bolts to bolt up the tranny bellhousing to the block. So, those bolts came loose and the bellhousing cracked because of the tcc, replaced the bellhousing with another from a spare tranny and replaced the starter, the dust shield from the bellhousing to the block was all torn up, so that was tossed. Then a couple days on the road after, same thing happens (yes, by this time we already had replaced the bolts with the correct ones). Problem, went to autozone for a pic of the actual tcc thats suppose to be in there and its different from the one we have in. the tcc that is in there is a 3bolt that attaches to the flexplate to the 6bolt on the crank, now where can i find a 4bolt flexplate that is suppose to be there when i buy the new tcc? for now project dsm is down, and so is project neon. any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
