Hey I bought a 2g and the previous owner was tuning with dsmlink v2. I have the cables for it but he said I need to download the actual program offline. On the ECM site I only saw V2.5. Should I d/l this or do I need to find the v2.0? Thanks.

I couldn't find the download link for v3 so I downloaded v2.5. Another question, he put his tunes on a flash drive for me, I uploaded it to my computer and I don't know how to get it into the dsmlink. its an ecu file. thanks so far guys

To get the v2 .ecu file loaded onto your car, go to ECU > Load/Save/Type > Load from disk. Then find the file and open it. I believe you'll also have to go through each of the ECU screens (Timing, Airflow, Fuel, etc.) and click the Copy to ECU button on each.

Keep in mind, the .ecu file will not work with the v3 application. Once you have the tune loaded into the ECU, start up the v3 app and take a log. Since it has more points than v2, you'll have to add on to the tune.
