Hello,

I just bought a 2nd gen with 6bolt swap along with DSMlink V2. I tried getting onto the dsmlink forums but it says that the registertion has been suspended???.... anyway i have a question about the fuel maps. I have experiance with SAFC on a 3000GT VR4 and i know there was a switch point from close loop to open loop where at open loop it would use Hi throttle map. So my question is is there anything like that in DSMLink?... or just that one map when u select fuel from that menu is the one to use?... how does dsmlink link behave and reads the values when it's in closed and open loop??... can someone please explain to me :) is it puely based on airflow and adjustment of the stock map or does it even use the 02 sensore at all in closed loop operation?.... would gladly appreciate the explanation of the inner workings of the DSM link fuel maps, thank you.

-Tom

The fuel map that you adjust is the open loop map. Tune out your closed loop operation by getting your LTFT Lo and LTFT Mid sorted out using a combination of the global fuel modifier, the deadtime modifier, and the airflow settings.

Have the guy you bought the car from e-mail Tom and Dave to get the ownership transferred over. If you can't reach the original owner, you could try e-mailing Tom and Dave and explaining your situation.

A bit off topic, but i think it's kind of rediculous the amount of trouble you have to go through just to post on the link forum if you didn't buy it new from them. Sorry to stray from teh OT, but that's one thing that always gets to me when i read posts about it.

Took me all of 1 Email to get the ownership transfered and a Username/Password setup...

I think in almost all of the cases we hear about, it's pure lazines. People just don't take the time to send an e-mail and get ownership transferred.

Luke hit it right on the head. I have transferred 8 or 9 setups for different folks. It usually takes no more than one email from me, then one to the new owner. Within a few hours they are online and cruising away. Dsmlink is not some secret society. If you are a paying customer, than you have every right to be there.
