Dsmlink for galant vr4

So i thinking of picking up a galant vr4 and was wondering if i can get a dsmlink for it. The website only has 1g and 2g ecu. So does that mean i have to get a 1g ecu for my vr4? any help would be appreciated.

Depending on the year of your car, your operating system is probably the same as a 1G.

Get in touch with Thomas Dorris....he'll have the correct answer for your situation, I'm sure.

yea the 1g dsm link will work with the gvr4 there are the same ecu,get your caps done while your at it,if they haven't been done already!

how much do the ecu's run?

well dsmlink is a chip that goes in to your ecu, you will need to get your ecu socketed to accept the new chip and if your caps haven't been replaced you should get them done too,you can send your ecu to dsmlink and they will do it all for about $600,$700?(v3) or you can buy a used ecu with all of this for about $500+/-,hope this helps you,someone correct me if I'm wrong!

they do all come with eprom, sadly mine was replaced with a 91-94 dsm non eprom..........

To add to whats been said, with DSMLink V3, an EPROM ECU is no longer a requirement for the 1G ECU's. ECMTuning, Inc. So no matter you're situation, you're covered.

...and oh, +1 more for white! My '91 GVR4 is white.

I think thats RED buddy and Vr4's never came in Red
