I don't know much about tuning yet but as i haven't used my dsmlink yet, But i do know that's some serious amount of knock man! :nono:

I know i scared for my engine i just hope its able to be tuned out

Looking at your TmngMaxOct, It looks kinda odd to me...

Ya i wouldn't run it like that until u have it were its being tuned at, Its not good for our motors to have knock at all and your highest was 14.1 at start up and turn off. Which is BAD!!

Trying pulling all the values from 2000rpmsx0.8 to 4000rpmsx0.8 on the TmingMaxOct back a few degrees. It might help level that knock out.

Seems to be happening when you have a big jump in timing..at 13 seconds you have it going from 10 to 19 and its like that in other spots...smooth it out, pull timing in the other spots and log again...I would say those big jumps are somewhat the cause.....

edit...is that the 1g timing table??looks a lot more aggressive then mine...

Looking at the timingmaxoct it looks as if someone pulled knock from right there in that blue spot in the middle. But didnt smooth out. and that is some serious knock, and 14* at 13% throttle!! OMG I would definently get it in tune or watch the demo on ecmlink's site to pull timing in proper cells.

Ya the big jumps happen in a few spots where it knocks, I would definitely smooth it out. That 14 degrees though, I would definitely pull timing and see what happens, its in a low load situation, so your not looking for maximum hp, at least that's what I would try.

edit: need to log fuel trims as well...

can you post your base idle log...?? kinda hard to assume before posting idle log.....

I can't look at the log, I'm at work, but to me it sounds like you're trying to do WOT tuning on the stock 1g timing maps and pump gas which is a :nono:

Load the stock 2g timing maps and see if the knock disappears, as it should, if boost levels aren't more than 20-22psi on pump gas. stock 2g timing tables

I'll look at the log tonight and see if I can find anything that looks off. Yukiz is right, the best thing you can do is post a 2 minute idle log (with the car at op temp) and a 10 minute cruise log first. That way we can see if everything looks good during normal operation, the cars got to crawl before it can walk or run!

:dsm:

ill be post idle logs and the cruise logs this weekend after i swap to the 2g timing maps thanks guys
