Okay... contructive... got it.
To me, if you're truely proud of what you drive, why put a giant sticker across your windshield? Why make it into an exihibit? If I was just some Ford Taurus driving average guy who doesn't even know what a DSM is, I see that and I'd come to the following conclusions:
1) whoever designed the sticker has bad taste because it isn't aesthetically pleasing.
2) whoever owns the car is overcompensating for something by placing a giant sticker like that on the windshield.
That's what I think of when I see poorly modded Hondas with stickers and vinyl graphics all over the place. By no coincidence, that is also what many of my friends and acquaintences (who aren't into cars) think of when they see something like that.
If you want to draw attention, fine... I know some people like that. But at least make sure you do it with class and draw nothing but positive attention.
I've seen cars on here with big dragon or hawk vinyl graphics. It simply makes me cringe. I understand why that super street or sport compact magazine show car image is desired. I can see why people want to emulate it for the glam and the "damn I feel good about myself" factor. That's all fine... but if you're going to do it, do it right or don't do it at all. Make it look the look and walk the walk... go half-ass and it'll look half-ass. It's the difference between a real Rolex (or a really good copy) and a really bad copy.... one that you can tell just by a mere glance.
You can say that it's your car and you can do what you like with it. It's true and that's fine. But don't ask people for what they think and complain when no body is showering you with rose petals and singing praises in your name.
To me, pride... like patriatism, isn't something you wear on a sleave. It's something you just know and something you just know you have in your heart. Not some badge or banner you go running around waving in everyone's face with. So if you're truely proud of what you own... keep it clean, keep it nice and take good care of it... that's pride!
I mean... can you imagine a Ferrari Enzo with cheesey hot rod flames and big ass "Powered by Ferrari" sticker going across the winshield? Ferrari owners don't do that, because they know they are previleged to own something truely special and they respect it enough to know to leave good things alone.

. That's funny.

It might be fun.
