My tranny blew up and i had it repaired at Aamco transmissions in Indiana, Pa. When i got the car back it shifted fine but within about 1000 miles it was grinding gears. I took it back to have them do a diagnostic to assess what was wrong since i got a 1 year or 12,000 mile warrenty. Now the problem i experienced was when i pushed in the clutch expecially in first gear then moved the shifter into gear, there is a second hesitation before i was able to get it into gear. If i would shift as 1 normal motion and not wait that second the gear would grind. It grinds like this in first and fourth. Aamco told me, "You will have to deal with the hesitation because we can hear the clutch spin as it grinds into place so its not gettin enough time to slow down, (Im not sure what that means), and its a hydraulic clutch so thats normal". Now i don't remember that pause in the clutch disengaging before they worked on it and it seems to me they are trying to not fully fix the problem. My question to all who read this is when the clutch pedal hits the floor shouldn't the clutch be fully disengaged at that moment and ready to shift or is this hesitation normal.
