DSM TPS wiring explained

There have been many threads asking for the specifics. Hopefully putting the information in one place will make it easier to find.

4 - Green/Black (Sensor Ground) ECU pin 24

1 - Green/Yellow (+5v Sensor Power) ECU pin 81
2 - Brown/Red (TPS output voltage) ECU pin 84
3 - Yellow/Red (IPS switch) ECU pin 87

1990 TPS are different, both in format and in their wiring.

Like the 2G TPS, the 90 TPS connector includes the TPS power, ground, and output, plus the IPS signal. Unlike the 1G and 2G TPS the wiring connector is via a pigtail to the engine harness and you can't replace the TPS without also changing the pigtail. You can't swap to a later TPS without changing the wiring, throttle body, and fuel rail due to these differences.
