i already have a k&n airfilter installed on my car with stock intake tube

Is it a cone like this? or the stock square style?

its like that but it has a hole in the bottom of it the guy i got the intake off of said it was a k&n

Oh ok, Yea when this ebay filter is ready to be changed, i will buy a K&N for it.

*Update* I ordered a Power steering pump from ebay for 38$ and it arrived and was total junk! it would not bleed and kept throwing the belt off! finally it started squealing so loud i thought it was going to lock down LOL, i have taken it off and im going to just break down and go to autozone and buy a new one with warranty and install it. once i do that i will give you guys a further update! thanks!!!

It's a little late, but I always like to follow up.

Are you certain you're not assuming he has a 4g63? Those plugs, while a tad on the gimmicky side, should work just fine in his 420a.

Yup, the 4g63 Plugs are BPR7ES. 6ES for the N/A 4g63. 8ES if you're over 500HP. I know my isht, thank you. I'm just letting him in on useful knowledge that has be proven and tested. Stock copper NGK are the BEST plug for the 420a, hands down.

Reading your posts make it seem like your biases against Mustangs influence your technical advice.
Yes it does. In a normal world, my bias against the horrid rustang would not influence my technical advice in a DSM forum, but here lately, it seems people keep asking stupid effin' questions regarding the intermingling of the two platforms.

OP:The only thing you gain by using a K&N filter over a Spectre or eBay filter is a more negative account balance. Once the oil dries up on the filter, they become the same as the next guy until the next cleaning. If you want the K&N proprietary oil formula on your filter, buy a Spectre with a K&N recharge kit.

Again, just my two pence.

look into megasquirt and nitrous dude.....best bang four your buck.... no need to waste your money on all this chrome flashy stuff

I was looking into maybe doing a SMALL turbo on this car when i get it running 100% normal but if i do that i would at least rebuild my auto trans to make sure it would hold up to the extra stress and i would change the CV axles. Nitrous sounds cool but ive seen too many of my friends blow their cars up using it alot and i know i would be using it alot if i had it LOL. Im still a kid at heart and would be taking it on back roads to feel the rush of speed!

Thanks delta! yea these iridium plugs are good, i see no performance difference but it runs alot better that the old plugs i pulled out.

The major things that need to happen to this car is the power steering pump, tires, and camber kit installed. Then i would feel alot safer driving it everyday

I'd agree for an N/A car, but that little plastic "cap" is a bad idea if you're moving a lot of air. There's a sad thread in here concerning a brand new FP turbo eating one of those...

Ewww i would hate to see that carnage! when i do install a turbo, i would at least use a recommended filter.

Read this: 2GNT.com - Power_Stages and then all the power stages.

When you want to rebuild your motor read this: 2GNT.com - A_Proper_Rebuild - it is writen by one of the smartest persons on the 2gnt website.

When you want to turbo read this: 2GNT.com - 2GNT_Turbosystems and then this: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/420a-turbo-conversion/366603-end-all-parts-list-go-turbo.html

However, I think you would gain the most from doing this: 2GNT.com - Manual_Transmission_Swap since the auto trans is a turd.

Also nice car, looks clean but you might want to do this http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/app...pper-door-trims-window-trim-merged-5-7-a.html

I stick to my original statement on page one of this thread. Get rid of that auto trans! Right now this would be the cheapest way to get more out of your 420A! Trust me that auto is sluggish and I really don't think you have that many options to "build it up". Just IMO though.

Hmmm from what i was reading, you atleast need a donor car to do a 5-speed swap :(

I have had horrible luck with finding a 2G car to get body parts off of in the scrapyards let alone one with a 5-speed trans left in it. I really wished i could tho

Yeah I feel your pain man there are always people parting out cars on this site though and watch craigslist for 420a's with blown engines to rob parts off of.
